On 14th July, a beautiful sunny day, we sponsored the Seven Nations Beach Rugby event hosted by National Trust on Marazion beach.
With the iconic St. Michael’s Mount as a dramatic backdrop, people of all ages and abilities were welcomed to take part in the tournament, choosing which of the six nations… or Cornwall to represent.
The aim of the event was to raise money for the National Trust’s work as a conservation charity, looking after special places for ever, for everyone. With the sun shining down brightly, teams of all ages and ability took to the sands with high spirits – great fun was had by all!
John and Rob set up our stand next to the National Trust stand and welcomed players and spectators alike, inviting them to enter our free prize draw for Bollinger Afternoon Tea for two at the Penventon Hotel.
Rob, being a keen rugby player himself, particularly enjoyed the event and was impressed with the ‘give-it-a-go’ attitude of those who were new to the game.
